Our history
The history of SA Service Agricole began in 1997 with the partnership between Lafaille et Fils Ltée and Service Agricole Omer Madore Inc. which had been in business since 1974. Renamed Service Agricole de l'Estrie in 2003, Lafaille et Fils has been involved in the agricultural sector since the 1940s, specializing in livestock trading and dairy operations.
In 2015, it acquired Services Bivac (AGCO dealer in Beauce), creating Service Agricole de Beauce Inc. with David Picard as its new partner. A third branch then opens in St-Georges de Beauce de Beauce in 2016.
Expansion continues in 2018 with the purchase of Garage Paul-Émile Anctil, which will become Service Agricole du Bas-St-Laurent, the group's fourth branch serving the Bas St-Laurent and Gaspésie region.
In February 2020, a fifth SA Service Agricole de Portneuf branch is added in Pont-Rouge, with Mathieu Roy as partner.
In 2022, the company acquired Champoux Machineries Inc. renamed SA Service Agricole des Bois-Francs, with Martin Nolin as partner. SA Service Agricole now has six branches in Quebec and over 150 employees, covering the Eastern Townships, Beauce, Bas-St-Laurent, Gaspésie, Québec-Portneuf and Bois-Francs.
Two forces. One mission
In 2025, SA Service Agricole forms a strategic alliance with Équipements Guillet, recognized in Les Jardins-de-Napierville, Roussillon, Haut-Saint-Laurent and Salaberry-de-Valleyfield,with Michel and Tommy Roy as partners to become SA Service Agricole Guillet. This union reinforces our commitment to innovation, quality and customer service, with the addition of two branches in Sabrevois and Napierville and over 40 employees.
